Laura "Juanita" Rogers' Obituary
Laura Juanita Hickman Rogers passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012.
Beloved mother of Harold Jenkins (Tracey), Gerald Jenkins (Kelly), Robbie Rogers (Julie) and the late Donald Rogers; loving grandmother to Brandy, Charles, Caroline, Kaylynn, Cherie, Tiffany and Logan; great-grandmother of Aiden, Abbie, Andrew, Annie and Kyleigh; and sister of Deloras Rogers (Ado), Maudine Hyatt, Nathan “Joe” Hickman and David Hickman (Barbara). Besides her son, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leon Rogers; her mother, Mayfred Passman Hickman; her father, Samuel Crozat Hickman; a brother, Ray Hickman; and two sisters, Geneva Willie and Marie Hickman.
Age 69 years, she was a native of Franklinton and a resident of Covington most of her life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
A Wake will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and visitation will resume on Tuesday at 9:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow services at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
