Laura Leslie Jacob's Obituary
Laura Leslie Jacob was born on September 5, 1962 in Baltimore Maryland. She was a hero to many who watched her as she fought her battle with ovarian cancer. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. On Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 9:30am at the age of 42, she went to walk with God after she lost her sixteen month battle. Family and friends were Laura’s favorite pastime. Laura is survived by many who lost part of their hearts the day she left us. Rick Jacob of Lake Charles was her husband and best friend of 15 years. She is also survived by her parents John and Elaine Leslie of Washington, N.C. and sister, Lisa Leslie of Blacksburg, VA. Her extended family, from Mandeville, LA, who loved her as she had always been a part of their lives consisted of Rick’s family Margaret and Herbert Jacob; Roxanne, David, Christopher, Cameron and John Patrick Bates; Deana and Andres Jacob and Doris Bobadilla; Verlinde Jacob and Verlinde Melody Phillips. She will be missed and remain parts of everyone’s hearts until we are able to walk with her again. Her memorial service was held in Lake Charles on June 28, 2005. Friends and family are welcomed to attend her burial service which will be held at the Blackwell Cemetery in Folsom, LA on March 25, 2006 at 11:00am. E.J.
