Laura Lee Blossman O'Keefe's Obituary
Laura Lee Blossman O’Keefe passed away on January 23, 2010. A native and life resident of Covington, LA, she was born May 14, 1932 to Richard “Sam” Blossman, Jr. and Althea Heintz Blossman.
The beloved mother of three children: Richard S. “Sam” O’Keefe (Cindy) and Gary E. O’Keefe (Maria) and Laura O’Keefe McKnight, she is survived by five grandchildren: R. Sammy O’Keefe, Jr. and Amy O. Dobbs (Steve), Sarah R. O’Keefe and Gary E. O’Keefe, Jr., Patrick N. McKnight, Jr. and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin “Gene” O’Keefe; her sister, Edna Blossman Bulloch and two grandchildren, Leslie C. O’Keefe and Timothy M. McKnight.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Chubby Hill Cemetery will immediately follow services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
