Larry David Williams' Obituary
Larry David Williams, age 86, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born September 29, 1938, in Washington, Indiana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon Godwin Williams; children, David Williams (Nubia) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Vicky Archer (Doug) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; grandchildren, Hannah Hodge of Seattle, Washington, and Nathaniel and Noah Archer of Ponte Vedra, Florida; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence C. Williams and Lillian Himsel Williams; brother, Ronald A. Williams; and sister, Francis L. Taylor.
Larry was an active member of the Northshore Church of Christ in Mandeville. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Biochemistry and worked in the agricultural industry for 40 years. He was also a US Army veteran. During his career, the family lived in Norfolk, Nebraska; Kearney, Nebraska; Urbana, Illinois; Peoria, Illinois; and Mandeville, Louisiana. Larry was a fan of the New Orleans Saints, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Purdue Boilermakers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
