Larry Anthony Seals' Obituary
Larry Anthony Seals, “Grotty”, age 66 of Mandeville, Louisiana met his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 13, 2009.
He is survived by his high school sweet heart and wife of 46 yrs Karen G. Seals; daughter and son- in-law Kelly and Eric Dubroc of Mandeville, La; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Natalya Seals of Cincinnati, Oh; daughter and son-in-law Stacey and Shayne Stinson of Houston, Tx; brother and sister-in-law Sid and Katie Seals of Oneida, Tn; grandchildren Mia and Joel Dubroc; Aleena and Marshall Seals and a wonderful extend family and much loved friends.
Larry was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he ran track for his beloved Vols. After his retirement from Scott Chotin, Inc, were he held the position of President/Owner, he attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington, La. He was blessed with the opportunity to retire early which allowed him to give back to many organizations including AARP tax aide volunteer, member of Beau Chene HOA, volunteer to minister at Forest Manor nursing home and a member of the World Seniors Golf Federation
During his retirement he was able to travel, hike and fly fish with his wife, participate in many golf tournaments with his buddies, attend UT football games with his brother, hunt with friends and watch his grandchildren participate in sporting events.
Larry was a godly man that led by example in his personal and professional life. He was a man that accomplished great things but he also knew that his great God was behind it all. He loved right and hated wrong, he loved truth and hated error. Larry touched the lives and hearts of many and will be greatly missed by the ones he loved.
We are thankful for the tender care of the Doctors, the ICU/CCU nurses and therapists at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
A memorial will be held Tuesday, November 17th at First Baptist church of Covington and will receive friends from 12 to 2pm and service to begin at 2pm.
Flowers should be sent to First Baptist Church of Covington. Donations should be made to the Mary Bird Perkins in memory of Larry A Seals. A foundation is currently being established.
