Kristin Michelle Lindsay Wicker's Obituary
In loving memory of Kristin Michelle Lindsay Wicker, who passed away on May 20, 2024 at the age of 40. Kristin was born on November 5, 1983 in Rockledge, Florida to her loving parents, Kim and Ted Lindsay. Her childhood was an adventure. Her family moved from Florida to West Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland before relocating to Louisiana where she lived for thirty years.
Kristin graduated from Fontainebleau High School in 2002. She began her college career at Louisiana State University and later graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in December 2006. However, she remained a lifelong fan of the LSU Tigers. Following her graduation, she worked in several medical offices supporting the mental health of children. It was a challenging role and she thrived in it.
In 2014, she met the love of her life, Todd Wicker. They met in a small gym and through him, she found a love of powerlifting. They happily married on September 26, 2015 and worked together as owners of a small construction company, beautifying homes and businesses in the city of Mandeville and surrounding areas.
Kristin was loving, compassionate and most of all a very caring person to all. She was passionate about time with her family. Kristin was also a lifelong athletically gifted woman. She found gymnastics in her youth and her family followed her from competition to competition for many years. She then joined the dance team at Fontainebleau Junior High School and Fontainebleau High School where she excelled. She enjoyed being active and loved to perform.
She is survived by her husband, Todd Wicker, stepchildren, Ashley, Brooke and Gavin, her cherished dog Zoey, her parents, Kim and Ted Lindsay, sisters, Jennifer and Nicole Lindsay, grandparents, Judy Kidd and Bill Lindsay, nephews, Jayden and Levi Lindsay and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Waiting for her at the door to heaven are her grandparents, Barbara Lindsay and Wayne Kidd, her great grandparents, Helen & Stan Riffe, Mildred Gray, and William and Jeanette Lindsay and her beloved dog, Roxy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at The Chapel at First Baptist Church of Covington, located at 16333 LA-1085, Covington, LA 70433 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. Interment will take place following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
