Kirk Joseph Kerner's Obituary
Kirk Joseph Kerner passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home in Covington, LA. He was born on May 16, 1963 in Marrero, LA to Patricia Dufor Kerner and the late Kermit Joseph Kerner.
Kirk was the beloved partner of Heather Spahr for 20 years. He was the loving father of Kathleen Kerner (Dalton Barnes) and Kyle Kennedy. He was the brother of Karl Kerner and Kimberly Kerner. Kirk was the uncle of Elizabeth Weiss.
Kirk was a home improvement contractor and the owner of Kerner’s Front Door Refinishing. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed making furniture for his family. Kirk was an avid tennis player and member of the USTA. He also was a fisherman and golfer. Most of all, Kirk was an all around great guy. He loved his daughter and Heather more than anything. They really were his world and his “girls”.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM with visitation from 1:00 PM until Mass time.
