Kimberly Marie Bonner Morel's Obituary
Kimberly Marie Bonner Morel, at the age of 57, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was born on July 6, 1968, to Betty Marchand Bonner and Ronald William Bonner, Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is survived by her husband of 3 years, Cary Morel; her children, Anthony William Bonner and Nathan James Lansing (Katie); her stepchildren, Patricia Ainsworth (Willis), Travis Morel, and Troy Morel (Bayleigh); grandchild, Gavin William Bonner, and step-grandchildren, Jordan, Jarrod, and Jaclynn Ainsworth. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Marchand Bonner; her siblings, Ronald William Bonner, Jr. (Jennifer) and Scot Anthony Bonner; nieces and nephews, Allison Moisant (Brant), Benjamin, Caleb, and Natalie Bonner; and great niece and nephew Eleanor and Kellan Moisant. She is also survived by a host of loving and wonderful lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald William Bonner, Sr.
Kimberly grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, where she built the foundation of a life defined by faith and deep love for family. She graduated from East Jefferson High School in 1986 and carried with her the determination and work ethic that would guide her throughout her life. In her later years, she made her home in Loranger, Louisiana with her husband, where she continued to pour her heart into those she loved.
Kimberly worked for many years in medical billing, serving in several different offices throughout her career. She was known for being dependable, hardworking, and committed to doing her job well. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Doctors’ Advantage where she made wonderful friendships with her coworkers and was grateful to be part of such an amazing team. Her strong sense of responsibility and care for others was evident not only in her professional life but in everything she did.
Faith was the cornerstone of Kimberly’s life. She was deeply involved at Williams Boulevard Baptist Church, where she formed friendships that became like family. She served faithfully in many areas of the church and loved participating in ladies’ conferences and retreats. Her faith was not just something she believed, it was something she lived daily. It was evident in her kindness, her resilience, and the way she loved and supported those around her.
Beyond her life in the church, Kimberly found peace relaxing at the beach, enjoyed camping trips, and treasured times sitting in her backyard watching the birds and feeding the turtles and fish. She also embraced the adventurous side, enjoying trips to the mud parks, riding four wheelers, and attending car shows. She truly lived life to the fullest.
Above all, Kimberly was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She carried a special bond with her mother, offering constant love, loyalty, and support throughout her life. As a single mother for many years, she demonstrated unwavering strength, sacrifice, and determination. She would do absolutely anything for her sons and grandson, and they were the pride and joy of her life. Loving, strong, dependable, and hardworking, she touched countless lives through her generosity and steady presence.
Her legacy lives on in the family she raised, the friends she cherished, and the faith she carried so boldly. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Williams Boulevard Baptist Church at 3000 Williams Boulevard, Kenner, LA 70065 on Saturday, February 28, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 3:00 PM.
Floral deliveries will be accepted at Williams Boulevard Baptist Church at 8:00 AM on Friday, February 27, or Saturday, February 28.
