Kimberly Juan Mathies' Obituary
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Juan Mathies, who departed this life on November 24, 2025, at the age of 60.
Kim was a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. Though she never had children of her own, she filled that role and more for her nieces and nephews. To them, she was a mentor, a confidante, a cheerleader, and a source of unconditional love. Her presence shaped their lives in ways that will echo for generations.
She touched countless lives through her career as a surgical technician with Oschner Medical Center, always giving more than she took and finding joy in the simple act of helping others. She loved her work family so much.
Family gatherings were never complete without her laughter, her stories, and her uncanny ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. She lived every day with a spirit that remains an inspiration.
She is survived by her mom, Belle Gaitan (Robert), brothers Cline (Sue), Kindall (Beverly) and John. Countless loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, John Mathies and sister-in-law, Jill Mathies.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, guidance, and memory will remain with us always.
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Please sign the guestbook at https://www.ejfieldingfh.com.
