Kent Robbert Davis' Obituary
Kent Robbert Davis of Kentwood, LA passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. He was born on May 31, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Louis and Carolyn (Robbert) Davis.
Kent is survived by his beloved wife Jocelyn “Jody” MacDonald Davis; his children Megan Davis Sumpter (John), Emily Davis Michael (Kenny), Elizabeth “Beth” Davis Poirrier (Ray), and Mary Kaitlyn Overstreet (Daniel); his step-sons Wesley Felter and Scott Felter (Naomi); and his grandchildren Noah James Tobin, Davis Zachary Tobin, Lillian Jane Tobin, Kai Sebastian Sumpter, Seth Weldon Michael, Alexander Walter Michael, Avery Allee Michael, Paige Allee Poirrier, Raymond Leroy Poirrier, IV. He is also survived by his mother Carolyn; his siblings Louis Davis, Carolee Elliott, Barbara Peterson; as well as many extended family members.
Kent is preceded in death by his father Louis.
Kent was a graduate of Tulane University and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a rancher in Kentwood, Kent was proud of his farm and his cattle. Kent was also a musician and member of The Bad Oyster Band.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 3412 Haring Rd., Metairie, LA 70006
on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Davis may be made to Louisiana SPCA.
