Kenneth Marshall Milstead passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 57 years to Fern Milstead. Loving father of Stacy Milstead. Also survived by his nephew Larry Milstead. Son of the late Ollie Culp Read Obituary
Fern & Stacy, Ken was one of the first persons at State Farm that gave a helping hand to an Air Force vet coming back to New Orleans. He then did the same for our son Keith 12 years later. He was a true American who was proud to serve his country. We'll keep him in our prayers. Carl & Linda Cucullu

Ken was a true friend from the first time I met him and he found out that I too was from the great state of Alabama. We had much in common as we both knew of the times and conditions growing up in both urban and rural areas of the state. He loved to talk about growing up in Bessemer and his many visits to Plantersville near Selma. His dedication to the Maritime Museum is beyond description. Ken, you are loved and missed.
