Kenneth Anthony Bradley, Sr.'s Obituary
Kenneth Anthony Bradley, Sr. passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the age of 89. He was born in Belize City, Belize on January 23, 1935. Kenneth immigrated to New Orleans at just 17 years old and he lived in the New Orleans area for the past 72 years, where he became a proud American citizen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lorraine Hotard Bradley; his children, Greg Bradley (Teena), Mark Bradley (Lynn), Cindy Helm (Darin), Melanie Spangenburg (Pete) and his 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Burke, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine Arnoux Bradley, son Kenneth A. Bradley Jr. and his wife Susan Bradley. Also preceded in death by his brother Sherman Bradley, sister Deanna Bradley Montz and his beloved dog Shadow.
Ken served in the Army National Guard. He loved family, fishing, bird watching and all animals. In the late 1960’s, his sons played recreational sports at Westgate, he started the Westgate Boosters where he coached many kids and was a big part of their lives. He was an avid LSU fan and loved the Tigers. He was a very successful businessman and retired from Diamond M Drilling after a 27-year successful career. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kenneth A. Bradley, Sr. may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11345 St. John’s Church RD, Folsom, LA 70437 on, May 11, 2024. Visitation begins at 12:00 PM and mass will follow at 1:00 PM. Immediately after mass there will be a family gathering at Jonathan Hall (the Big Hall).
