Colin Kennedy Ross' Obituary
Colin Kennedy Ross, 22, passed away on August 10, 2011.
He was born on April 13, 1989 in Denver, CO, the loving son of Rebecca June Kennedy and Mark L. Ross.
A resident of Mandeville, Louisiana since the age of 3, Colin graduated from Mandeville High School and attended The University of Southern Mississippi and Louisiana Community College. Colin is survived by his parents; Mark Ross of Lafayette La., June Kennedy and Step-Father Ron Legere of Covington, La., and his brother Brendan Ross of Mandeville. He leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Katherine Dixon Kennedy, of Franklinton; and paternal grandmother, Mary Evelyn Ross, of Charleston, S.C. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins are also left behind along with countless friends fortunate to be touched by Colin’s life.
His happiest moments were in the company of his good friends, riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and motorcycles, boating, and fishing. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his contagious laughter, and unique sense of humor. He is now at home with his grandfathers he adored so much; the late Col. John D. Ross and Ray Kennedy.
Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to a celebration of Colin’s life to be held on Sunday August 14th, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home; 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, La 70433. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at 12:00 P.M.
Burial immediately following the service will be held at Crain Cemetery in State Line, Louisiana.
