Keith "Bear" Delaune's Obituary
Keith “Bear” Delaune was born March 5, 1959 to Arthur and Rosemary Delaune in Metairie, LA. A student of Saint Lawrence, Hattiesburg High School and U.S.M. He passed away surrounded by family and friends at the age of 67 on June 7, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur. He is survived by his mother Rosemary Delaune, sister Stephanie Edwards (Ralph), nieces Samantha LeBouef and Francesca Laurent (Michael), great nephew Braeden Laurent, and a great many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
If you knew Bear, you knew his love for sports, live music, reading and travel. He was a dedicated employee of over 40 years at Modern Flooring in New Orleans. He will be missed by all of his coworkers and clients.
A loving son, brother, and uncle. A loyal and generous friend. A great guy with the best laugh. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11:00 am and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time. The burial will follow in Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75327 River Road, Covington, LA 70435. There will be a celebration of Keith’s life following the services.
