Kay Delcazal Marks' Obituary
Kay Delcazal Marks, at the age of 84, entered eternal rest peacefully on July 25, 2023, at her family home surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was born in New Orleans, LA on May 24, 1939 to Leoni and Louis Delcazal.
Kay is survived by her adoring children, Kurt (Mary) Marks, Keith Marks, and Krista (Alberto) Sabillo. She was the proud grandmother of Lindsey (Byron) Gilbert, Victor Marks, Keith Marks, Rachel (Zak) Patterson, William Marks, Michael Marks, and Amelia Marks. She was the loving sibling of Gaynel Molinet. Kay will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Alvin Victor Marks.
Kay was a native of New Orleans, LA and proud resident of Covington, LA for over 10 years. She graduated from Academy of Holy Angels High School in New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA where she met the love of her life, Alvin. She had wonderful lifelong friends and treasured the parties, lunches and times that were spent together.
Kay was loving, compassionate and most of all a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden. Kay enjoyed entertaining friends at the family camp on the lake. She was always ready for her next adventure and loved traveling with family and friends. Kay taught us all how to love life and enjoy being together with those close to us.
Private services will be held by the family.
