I have fond memories of Aunt Katie especially when I was a little girl. Aunt Katie was always so full of love and a beautiful smile. Aunt Katie was the first person to teach me to play checkers and taught me to cook a family favorite - broccoli pasta. I will miss her dearly.

My dear Uncle Raymond, Aunt Vivian, Uncle Arthur and all of my cousins, I am deeply saddened by the passing of our beautiful, sweet Aunt Katie. What a beautiful soul! One of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever known, she will be greatly missed. My tears are more intense because I won't be able to attend the services. I am hosting a 16 team volleyball tournament tomorrow at my school which will be impossible for me to leave. Please accept my apologies for not being there physically, but be assured that I will be there with all of you in spirit. Joey, your mother was a great lady and Rick, David and Danny your grandmother was extraordinarily special and I know how much you hurt at her passing. Remember the good times and the fact that she will always be in our hearts. I love and miss you all and my heart and soul will be there tomorrow even though my body can't be.

No matter what years had passed, She still looked and sounded the girl when she laughed.
That gorgeous, unblemished skin, Her dark curls lightening to gray Always retained that beauty For which she was celebrated and portrayed.
