Aunt Kathryn was such a great lady. What a powerful influence she was on our lives. She will be greatly missed. Bet she’s up there playing the piano right now while dad plays the saxophone.
To the family of Frank & Kathryn Sharp, we were blessed to be a part of their friendship. No words to express the value of their friendship as well as their servants heart to the work of God. No doubt both are resting in the arms of our Lord.
Kathryn was a special influence, teacher and mentor in my life, as she was for so many others. She was such a blessing to me throughout my life. I can’t imagine Shepherd’s Fold without her being there, playing the piano. Despite my living in Michigan all these years, she still remembered to call me on my birthday each year. She is such a precious child of God.
Matt.5:14,16 "You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Kathryn Sharp was a bright light to all whom she met. Her positive attitude and non-critical outlook was an example to all who knew her. Even after losing her husband and only child, she never lost her amazing cheerfulness and concern for others. I 1st knew her when I was a teen-ager. As a gifted pianist herself, she always encouraged me to accept opportunities to play the piano or organ when asked and other youth in the church to participate in worship by using whatever talent they had. She was an outstanding Sunday School teacher for the youth at Shepherds Fold Church and I was privileged to be a member of her class. Her musical talent was unlimited: pianist, soloist, choir director, etc. for which she was known throughout the Lee Road Community and the Church of God denomination. Dedicated, faithful, unselfish, and a role-model for us all. Her influence will be felt for years to come. As the Scripture admonishes each of us to be, she was truly a very bright light in our world and I am forever grateful that God allowed me to call her my dear friend. See you later, Kathryn!
Kathryn was such an important figure in my life, especially in my teen years. Not only was she a phenomenal musician (a remarkable pianist with perfect pitch, but also a beautiful singing voice), she was a spiritual mentor to me and countless other young people. She and Frank encouraged us and led by example, showing us how to truly love the Lord and be devoted to each other, as well. As an adult, I was blessed to know her constant, abiding friendship. We will miss her, but I know she is rejoicing with Frank and all the others who have gone before. What a blessed reunion!!
