Kathryn “Kathy” Evans passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Covington, LA. She was 64. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Hull. She is survived by her husband, Mickey Evans, her children, C Read Obituary

We met Kathy on vacation and she was always the life of the party. As her children met the love of their lives her family expanded and the ultimate joy arrived with her grandchildren. I remember our conversations about the love she had for family and Mickey, her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to Kathy. She had such a big heart and I will miss her open honest conversations about life and family. Sending love and condolences from Mike and Linda Davis
Steve and I will always remember Kathy as a fellow vacationer, wine drinking, fun person. I remember laughing with her on our last vacation together with her comment to Frank/Steve saying don’t become my Facebook if you don’t want to see lots of pictures of my grandkids. She lived for them. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
6/15/23 - I met Kathy just a few years ago in the lobby of Kauffman Center in Kansas City, Missouri. There was a concert for a 1960's music group and we sat at the same small table with refreshments. We just hit it off! I had arrived with a group from Gladstone MO but she had an extra ticket that her aunt didn't use so she asked me to sit with her.
That was the beginning of wonderful late night phone calls that lasted at least an hour each time. We shared about our grandchildren and our pups. She always had this sweet and cheery Southern drawl that was endearing. We did chat before this final trip where she had such a challenging time. She was very excited to go with her friend! We kept in touch via text and many prayers were said. I am very, very sad to hear of Kathy's death and will always remember her friendliness and openness.
