Karla Ione McIntyre Poche's Obituary
Karla Ione McIntyre Poche, age 46, passed away Sunday afternoon August 12, 2021. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 8, 1974 in Covington, LA to Simmie McIntyre and Kathy McIntyre Lester.
Karla is survived by her children Gabrielle Johnson, Lonnie Johnson Jr. and Carroll Poche IV, her mother Kathy McIntyre Lester and her sister Sara McIntyre Kordahi (Charlie). She is also survived by her nephews Alexander Kordahi and Andrew Kordahi. She is preceded in death by her father Simmie McIntyre (1999).
Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Karla's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mom who raised three wonderful children. She was an amazing person who was supportive, kind, hilarious and witty. Anyone who knew her loved her. We will all miss her dearly.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Barker McManus Cemetery, 79407 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 at a later date.
