Clark
Karl never failed to be a welcoming gentleman in every respect. A family man first and foremost, he nonetheless welcomed everyone in a generous and magnanimous way. He always made sure everyone was having a good time when at the Gottfried business compound, on the boat or at the beautiful house on the Tchefuncta. More than anything I think he loved hanging with kids, young people and sharing the good times. While I know he worked as hard as anybody ever, his focus on family ensured the success of all three sons as well as two more subsequent generations who'll benefit from a big life well-lived. Salute, Skipper, you were a gift to us all.
