Karen Marie Stokes' Obituary
Karen Marie Stokes of Tomball, Texas passed away October 21, 2008.
Karen was born May 30, 1951 to Eric and Irene Stokes in New Orleans, Louisiana. Karen was former president of the local Chapter of C.A.C. She was preceded in death by her father: Eric Stokes, and grandmother: Irene Miranne. Karen is survived by her mother: Irene Stokes; brother: Perry Stokes and wife Adela; sisters: Kathy Newsom and husband Frank, Ellen Norman and husband Wes, and Donna Shour and husband Bill; nieces and nephews: Leslie Shour, Katy Shour, Erica Norman, Eric Stokes also her god-son, Kristen Newsom, and Laura Shour, god-daughter: Tammy Lynne Barber; favorite cousin: Gayle Day.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dana Montgomery and Lynette Williams, of A-Med Hospice.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Saturday beginning at 2:00 PM.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in Karen’s name to A-Med Community Hospice, 3535 Briarpark Dr. Suite 220, Houston, TX 77042.
