Karen Burns Moise's Obituary
Karen Orr Burns Moise, at age 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at home.
She was a native of Covington and the daughter of the late Lois Ernestine Smith Burns and Bryan Dudley Burns. Karen was married for 53 wonderful years to her loving husband, Gerald Robert Moise. She was the beloved mother of Kate Moise (husband James Scoville) and Bob Moise; and second mother to Barbara Hebert (husband David), Lindy Stonecypher (husband Craig) and the late Bethel Bradley all of Covington. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Brooke, Gerald, Ryan, Jason, Chad and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Donald Burns, Dorothy Burns Stroble, Lois Jacqueline Burns, Bethel Joyce Burns, Bryan Dudley Burns, Jr. and Carol Burns Bradley.
Family and friends are invited to memorial services at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Private interment services will be held at Chubby Hill Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 4410 Highway 22, Mandeville, LA 70471, or to a charity of choice.
