Juliette Anne Soniat Ostarly's Obituary
Juliette Soniat Ostarly, age 89, beloved wife of the late Adam Ostarly died Saturday after a long illness.
Juliette was born and raised in Westwego. As a Navy spouse for 22 years, she traveled from Rhode Island to Hawaii. She lived in Covington for the last 38 years where she was a member of the American Legion and a parishioner at St. Peter Catholic Church, where she participated in the Legion of Mary. She also volunteered at the Covington Food Bank for two decades.
Juliette is survived by three sons Larry R. Ostarly (Elva), Thomas R. Ostarly (Ruth), Adam R. Ostarly, Jr.; four daughters Deborah O. Finnan (Michael), Mary O. Henderson (Jim), Lori O. Ulfers (Ron), and Wendy O. Edwards (Jerry); her 29 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Grace Gauthreaux.
Juliette is preceded in death by her beloved husband; predeceased by her son Richard Ostarly (Tammy); her brother Robert J. Soniat; her sisters Marie Riesinger, Ruby Orgeron, Marion King, Leonie Marse, and Catherine Soniat; and her parents.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
