Julia LeBlanc Long Johnson's Obituary
Julia L. Long Johnson peacefully went to her heavenly home on Monday November 27, 2017, at the age of 88. She was born in Meridian, MS; beloved daughter of the late Ludovic and Sarah Culpepper LeBlanc. Proceded in death by her husband’s Elden D. Long and Andrew W. Johnson, sister Marylyn LeBlanc Morales, brothers Ludovic John LeBlanc, Jr. and Richard Dale LeBlanc. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Long Earhart (Rock) and Brenda Long Thieneman (Stephen); lovingly known as Ree to her grandchildren, Elden Earhart (Shawn), Craig Earhart (Theresa), Stephen Thieneman (Lisa), Lauren Thieneman Jones (Alvin), Matthew Thieneman (Lindsay); great -grand children Joshua Earhart (Chelsea), Lindsay Earhart Frazier (Chris), Bethany Earhart Decker (Dillon),Caleb Earhart (Alli), Jourdan Earhart, Sadie, Abigail, Grace, Annalise, Quinn and Grant Thieneman; Great- great-grandchildren Kaylee and Kenzie Frazier, Avalee and Alivia Earhart, and sister Georgia LeBlanc. Julia moved to Bogalusa, LA where she graduated from Bogalusa High School. There she sang in the school chorus receiving a scholarship in voice and music at LSU. She also attended Loyola University. She worked for South Central Bell where she made many acquaintances and lifelong friends. Genealogy was her passion. She loved discovering the history of her ancestors and sharing their stories with family. Kind and friendly, she made friends wherever she went. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until Mass time.
Interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2618 Highway 43 S., Picayune, MS 39466.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 in memory of Mrs. Julia Johnson.
