Jules Andrew Simoneaux's Obituary
Jules Andrew Simoneaux, at the age of 65, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana and raised in Rayne, Louisiana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gina Mula Simoneaux; his daughter Leslie Simoneaux Becnel and son-in-law Chad Becnel; grandchildren, Sam Becnel, Charlie Becnel, and Caroline Becnel. He is also survived by his siblings, Jody Simoneaux, Jimmy Simoneaux, and Jerry Simoneaux; a host of nieces and nephews; and wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel Simoneaux and Theresa Ohlenforst.
Jules built a career as a top salesman at Pumpelly Oil and Reladyne, retiring last April after over 30 years of service. His character, sense of humor, and integrity earned him deep relationships with colleagues and customers throughout the years, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jules loved fishing and spending time outdoors, especially with his son-in-law and grandsons. He was passionate about cooking authentic Cajun food, and he loved bringing people together to spend cherished times full of laughter. He loved crawfish boils, Sunday barbecues, and could “never make a small Gumbo.”
Jules loved his family more than anything. He was devoted to spending quality time with them and left unending stories and memories that will be shared for generations. He exemplified the values he taught, and his actions always (somehow) spoke louder than his words. He cultivated rich relationships with an abundance of family and friends throughout his lifetime.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Drs. Nancy and Greg Mula and Jody Simoneaux for the compassion and care they showed Jules and his family during their time of need. They would also like to thank his incredible care team, Dr. Suma Satti, Dr. Erik Lappinen,
Amber Snyder, and North Oaks Hospice that helped him defy many odds through his cancer journey.
