Judth Ann Elliott's Obituary
Judith Ann Elliott previously known as Judith Kirk Holcomb, 77, of Covington, LA, died peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2016 at The Guest House assisted living in Slidell, LA.
Judith is survived by her step sons, Buz E Phillips of Chesapeake, VA and Rand E Phillips of Madisonville, LA; her daughters Linda McGovern of Slidell, LA, Letha Polk and Laura Duke of Pearl River, LA, Lana Kahl of Clinton, NC, and Son Mack Holcomb, Jr. of CA. Judy has 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Holcomb of Pearl River, LA and her brother W. Harry “Butch” Kirk of Oregon.
Judith was born September 25, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois to parents William Charles Kirk and Nyra Winifred Mixell. She moved as a child to Louisiana and lived there most of her life. She was an avid reader to say the least. A Texas State awarded archer as well as a cake decorator, stained glass window maker, painter, football booster and soccer mom. She taught at Covington High School in the 1980s and 1990s and is a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association since 1998.
She will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at McGee Cemetery in Pearl River, LA on February 13, 2016 at 1100 AM.
