Judith Lynn "Judy" Munn's Obituary
A loving daughter and sister, Judith Lynn Munn “Judy” passed away at the age of 81 on December 17, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was a native of Metairie, Louisiana, but spent most of her life as a resident of Covington, Louisiana, working as an adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company for over 20 years. During her retirement, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”) volunteer for abused and neglected children. Prior to settling in Covington, she worked as a programmer for NASA in Florida.
Judy loved animals and cars and was environmentally conscious. She enjoyed recycling and caring for all her pets over the years. She was a NASCAR fan and a member of the Corvette Club. She meticulously cared for her 1994 red Corvette and her furry friends, particularly her cats, Tut, Rumbles, and Fox.
Judy is survived by her sisters, Penny Lou Munn Putfark and husband (H.C.), and Wendy Lee Munn Jenkins. She is also survived by her nephews and great-nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ritter Munn, and her father, Joseph E. Munn, Jr.
The family would like to thank all her neighbors and caregivers who provided so much care and support for Judy during her illness, particularly Judy Bird and Marion Thomas.
