Joyce "Jo" Bolline Eastman's Obituary
Joyce "Jo" Bolline Eastman, entered Heaven on August 20, 2021, at the age of 82, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on September 6, 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana, she resided in Mandeville, Louisiana, for the past 24 years.
Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Edmund “Ed” Eastman, Sr. for the past 58 years and the loving mother of Mary Eastman Hart, Elizabeth Eastman Villemez, and Edmund "Jimmy" Eastman, Jr. She was the devoted grandmother of Austin Hart, Cooper Hart, Joey Villemez, and Jennifer Villemez. They meant the world to her and she to them. Joyce was also the great-grandmother of Evan and Oliver Nelson. She is survived by her aunt, Dot Lombard, and cousins Adria Lombard Hart, Deborah Lombard Scott and Frank Lombard Jr. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Bolline and Mae Rizzuto Bolline.
Jo, as she was known to all who loved her, loved her family dearly. She loved a good game of Bingo, visiting Disneyworld, and being with family and friends. She was generous, genuine and kind. Joyce worked with children all of her life, from substituting at schools, working as an assistant in the Preschool classes at First Baptist Mandeville, and volunteering in her grandchildren’s schools. She was named PTA Grandparent of the Year at Magnolia Trace Elementary in Mandeville. Joyce was immensely proud of her family, and left behind nothing but beautiful memories. There is no doubt that Jo has a special place in Heaven. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
