Joyce Dupart Barze's Obituary
Joyce Dupart Barze passed away on Thursday, November 28th, 2024. Joyce was born in Madisonville, La. on February 3rd, 1928.
She is survived by her loving children, Milton Barze, Jr. (Paulette), Myra Leslie (Sylvester), and Lisa Marshall (Thomas); her grandchildren, Nichelle Henry, Lianne Sheps, Christopher Barze, Shannon Probasco, Meghan Pappas, Gerald Cavalier Jr., Brittney Marshall, Zachary Marshall; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Demazalier, Carmelita Lange, and Cynthia Baham; nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Luke Barze, Sr.; her daughter Wanda Cavalier (Gerald); her parents Elizabeth Hyde Dupart and Garrison Dupart; and siblings.
Joyce, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away, embraced by the love of her family and the grace of God. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to loved ones.
For over 20 years, Joyce worked as a social worker at Forest Manor nursing home. She had a nurturing spirit, always finding joy in caring for those around her.
Joyce was a devout Catholic and began each day with prayer. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville, LA 70447 on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Madisonville Cemetery.
