The beloved wife of 43 years to Alfred C. Sarran, Jr., she is survived by two children, Adam C. Sarran and Angela Cara Avila (Mark); her sister, Jo-Ann Thomas (Bill) and one brother, Dr. John M. A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from the church at St. Joseph Abbey with interment at the Abbey Cemetery, St. Benedict, LA.
We were honored to have my cousin the Rev. Otis Young, Jr., pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church celebrate the liturgy.
The family wishes to thank and extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Slidell Adult Day Care for all the years of kind and loving care they gave to Joy, to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their care in Joy’s final days, and to the monks of St. Joseph Abbey, especially Bro. Brian.
