I knew Joy through our mutual friend Bonnie and we also attended Cancer Support Group together at Mary Bird Perkins Center across from St Tammany Hospital. Joy was talented, gifted, and incredibly brave. She gave me practical, sensible advice on how to handle my own breast cancer diagnosis.... Her advice was to not let cancer keep you from living and enjoying each moment to the fullest. I will cherish my memories of us at the Fall for Art Walk in Covington, dining at quaint restaurants, and antiquing in Ponchatoula. There is a beautiful, bright New Star in Heaven! I will miss you Joy, and will remember all that you taught me about fighting the good fight with grace, style and dignity.
