Joshua Simon Maravich's Obituary
Joshua Maravich passed away on June 7, 2024 in Covington, LA. He was born on March 25, 1982 in Metairie, LA to Jackie Elliser Maravich McLachlan and the late Peter Press Maravich.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Jackie; step-father, James “Jimbo” McLachlan III; brothers, Jaeson Maravich and Michael McLachlan (Delacy), and sister-in-law Jennifer McLachlan. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Linda and Doug Bruce, Diana and Byron May, and Ronnie Maravich, along with many loving and adoring nieces and nephews.
Josh is preceded in death by his father, Pete, and brother, James “Mac” McLachlan IV.
Josh played basketball at St. Paul High School in Covington, LA. He scored more than 1,000 points in his three-year career there and was named MVP of the District his senior season. Josh averaged 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals per game his senior season. After high school Josh became a part of the LSU men’s basketball program for four seasons, 2001-05. Josh’s time at LSU was something he knew he wanted to do to make his Dad proud.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
