Josephine Lopez Bloom's Obituary
Josefina "Ninin" Lopez Bloom of Bloomington, Indiana, passed Tuesday, July 17 at her summer residence in Marlboro, Vermont.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Ninin earned her law degree from the University of Havana. She was also a student of literature and the arts, comfortable in several languages, deeply devoted to the classical music community, and was a mainstay of the Marlboro Music Festival for several decades.
Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Jorge Lopez and Adelina Fernandez de Lopez, three brothers, Joseph Lopez M.D., Sergio R Lopez and Jorge Alberto "Tony" Lopez and a sister, Lillian Lopez Castle.
Survived by her son, Willis E. Williams Jr. of Negril, Jamaica, a granddaughter, Elizabeth McConocha, a sister, Teresita Lopez Nielsen and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
Visitation on Wednesday will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
