The last time I saw Joe was at "Duck Hunter Shoots Angel". We had acted together in many shows. The one that comes to mind was "The Odd Couple" with Russell Krogsgard. He was a delight to be with on stage and in rehearsals. Joe always had us laughing. The local stages have suffered another great loss, but he and Russell are now entertaining the angels with "The Heavenly Odd Couple". Take care my friend. Stephen B. Cefalu
Joe loved being involved with so many things. I had just the week before sat down with him after our "Golden Opportunity" meeting to discuss new plays coming up at Slidell Little Theater. Cheerful and delightful man. He will be sadly missed, but he left many smiling faces. Karen Strong
Dear Lisa, Lori, Lynn and Vicki: So sorry to hear about your dad! I saw him that Tuesday at Tchefuncte a few hours before he died. He seemed happy and vibrant! I'm glad he got to do what he enjoyed until the last! I'll miss him every year during tax time, but was glad to run in to him again a few years ago. I'd see him each year and we'd talk about "old times". I'd get the latest on all of you, and hopefully he told you hello for me!

What a shock to ,hear of my oldest brother Joe's passing on my 80th B Day. He will,be missed by many and loved by all. I miss you so much Bro Joe - your lil bro FRED-erick
I've known Mr. Joe for several years. He was a very kind man. He loved subbing and always said how much he loved working with the students. I enjoyed seeing him at Mandeville High and looked forward to getting a chance to speak with him. He will be missed. He always had a smile on his face and that's what I will remember most about him.
I was saddened to hear of his passing but have to keep in my mind and heart that he passed doing what he enjoyed.
My deepest condolences go out to his family. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

We will miss Mr. Joe at Tchefuncte Middle School! I could alway count on him to fill in when we were in need. I will miss that smile and positive attitude. Your family is in my thoughs and prayers.

Mr Joe was such a bright light wherever he went. He lived everyday to the fullest. I loved his stories, pictures of his travels, and the next big play he was in. Last time I saw him I asked him to sing Moon River and I would get chills! You will be forever missed!❤️ Kathy Willie
It was always nice to see Mr. Joe at school. The children always thought he looked like Santa and that always made him smile. He was always very proud to tell stories of his family. He will be missed.
Not only did I have the pleasure of working with Mr. Joe at CVS pharmacy, I also had the privilege of working with him at the school I taught at. Mr. Joe loved to substitute and work with children. He especially loved to substitute for the PE teachers so he could wear shorts and go outside. He always had a contagious smile on his face. He will be sadly missed by many;)
Mr. Joe worked as a Substitute at our school. He was always so kind and friendly. He was very smart and would even read books during his lunch break. God bless his family!
