Joseph V. “Joey” Mathies, Jr., age 56 died on Saturday, October 01, 2016, at his residence in Covington, LA. Born, Wednesday, October 14, 1959 in Covington, LA to Joseph V. Mathies, Sr. and Patricia Mitchell Mathies.
Joey was preceded in death by his wife Belinda Kay Cedotal Mathies.
Survived by his Daughters - Lisa Marie Hernandez (David), and April Lynn Szalajeski (Dana), Father - Joseph V. Mathies, Sr., Mother - Patricia Mitchell Mathies, Granddaughters - Illyana Hernandez, Olivia Hernandez, and Aeryn Hernandez, Brother - Donald Mathies (Patty), Sisters - Karen Kety (Temo), Barbara Mathies, and Betty Mathies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 08, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Saturday, October 08, 2016 from 9:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA at a later date.
