Joseph Adam Luquet, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 surrounded by family at his home in Mandeville, LA. He was born on June 24, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph A. Luquet, Sr. and Dorothy Niedermeier Luquet. Read Obituary
Al and I have been acquainted with Joe and his wife for many years. We lost touch after moving to Alabama, but Al still remembers Joe fondly as an Olympia member as well as a genuinely nice person.
He had a wonderful life, and will be remembered with fondness.

I am sadden to learn of another tiger passing. I am glad that I had the chance to reunite with Joe at our 50th reunion of our 63" State Football Championship and 64" class reunion. Holy Cross, Southeastern, and the insurance industry were our mutual interests of the past. Our most important common interest was always our love for Jesus Christ. I give my love and prayers to Joe's entire family and his close friends. I know that because he was such a great man, husband, father, and Christian, he will be missed by many.

Cassie, I was so sorry to hear of your lost of a great husband and father. I enjoyed playing golf with Joe whenever we got a chance to play. I remember Joe from the days he was in the Eye Opener Kiwanis club and his work with the Rich Mauti foundation. I send you our condolences on the this very tough day for you and your family. It is really upsetting to hear of Joe's death. Phyllis and I have known how hard Cassie and he have fought this illness. We have always admired their way and purpose in their family and personal lives. We know that he is now in the right place. He has always been the top example of what a Holy Cross Man is. On behalf of Joe's Beau Chene golfing buddies we send our heartfelt sympathies to Cassie and family. We always enjoyed it when Joe joined us for lunch and golf even when he was not feeling so well. His optimism was contagious. I grew to know Joe well from our service to Mary Queen of Peace. He was greatly respected by all who served with him, including me. I will treasure my last conversation with him just days before his passing. His was a life well lived.

First, I am very sorry for the loss of a wonderful husband, father and to me and many others, friend. Joe touched the lives of many people, and regardless of his personal circumstance, he was always someone who was upbeat and congenial. I pray that his family and friends are and will be comforted in this time until they see him in the next.

I have had the great luck of having a father like Joe, great person, affectionate and endearing, Cassie, Roxi, Nicole I'm sorry I can not be with you at this painful moment. A new star shines today in the sky that will guide us the rest of our lives.
