I would like to express my condolences to the entire family. How sad to lose a loved one no matter what age. We know that your dear one was loved and will be missed. There is one thing that wii bring the greatest comfort to all who loved. God has made a promise to restore life back to those who have died. God knows that death is a enemy to his earthly family. (1 Corinthians 15:25-26) He has made arrangements to remove sickness and death away from his family. (Revelation 21:4-5) And most importantly, he has promised to restore life to those who have died. Can you picture that? Any of your family that you have lost in death coming to life again. Since God is the source of all life, this is not something that he cannot do. In fact, the bible speaks of nine accounts that serve as a preview of the future resurrection hope. One such example is found at Acts 9:36-42. As you read the recorded information, why not think about how much you will benefit from this wonderful arrangement. Now picture all the family members and friends who will be there to see with their own eyes this grand resurrection blessing. It will indeed take place, for it is God promise. He does not lie.(Titus 1:2)

Daddy, as the days go by it hasn't gotten easier knowing that you're gone. The truth is I'm quite angry. I'm not sure who or what I'm mad with. I know this guest book for your obituary will be going offline tomorrow & I'm upset with that. I don't want anything with you to go away. I'd give Anything to just have 5 more minutes with you...to tell you I love you, admire you & aspire to be more like you. I want to know if you're proud of me, disappointed with me...I just have so many questions to ask you & I get angry not having any answers. I can understand why God wants you with him in heaven...I only wish God would have "rescheduled'" for some other time. I wish I were not so selfish, but when I see the words "in loving memory" & your picture with it, well I find it confusing & then the anger comes....why you?...why so soon? I know acceptance doesn't mean I have to like it & I have asked God for his forgiveness. Daddy, you were my angel in life & you are my angel still. I look forward to the day when we can reunite in heaven. Until then I'm comforted that you are in the presence of Him! Give granddaddy & grandmother & granddaddy & memaw a big hug from me! I love you my Daddy!

Many fond memories of Joey. Many years ago when he first came to work at Ryan with my brother Smitty, we used to go to the docks together to meet the ships as they arrived to tie them to the bollards. Good times!! Later I met his brother Larry and brother-in-law Mike as we used their company in our construction of new homes.
