Joseph Francis Doran Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Francis Doran Jr., at the age of 51, entered eternal rest peacefully at 11:00 PM, on Saturday night, November 5, 2022, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 20, 1971, to Joseph Francis Doran Sr. and Wanda Sue Griffin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Jessica Dale Doran, his adoring children Julian Francis Doran, London Doran Johnston (Matthew), Kieran Three Doran, Killian Lijiah Doran, Arjien Joseph Doran, Canaan Xavier Doran, Lachlan Joshua Doran, and Ireland Leaf Doran. Joe was the proud grandfather of Eve and Benjamin Johnston. He leaves behind his father Joseph Francis Doran Sr. and his loving companion Brenda Willis. He was the sibling of Kevin Doran (Sandi), Marcia Doran Williams (Ray), Brian Doran (Kristi), Mark Doran, Marybeth Doran (Skipper Turner), Emily Farley, and Katie Farley Neeb. Joe will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his loving mother, Wanda Sue Griffin Farley.
After high school he attended Delgado of New Orleans, where he earned his culinary degree. He began working as head chef in many well-known restaurants in and around the city. He later began his career as a General Contractor. He was successful and well respected within his profession from New Orleans to the Northshore.
Joe was compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He had a calling for coaching soccer and was an avid, dedicated coach for over 35 years from New Orleans to St. Tammany Parish. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends. Joe was unique, irreplaceable, and well respected. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit and charisma will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will take in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens following the services.
