Joseph Warren Billiot, Tribal Member of United Houma Nation, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011.
Beloved father of Libby Ann Billiot, Wanda Ann Billiot, Mary Jane Billiot Perez (Menton Verdin), Connie Marie Billiot, Carla Billiot and David Warren Billiot (Karen Ann); grandfather to Monica, Noel, Christal, Michelle, Kory, PJ, Lessie, Kelly, Lahkyn, Chad, Michael, Dominic and Christina; brother of Alex Billiot, Nolan J. Billiot and Diane Marie B. Smith; and companion of Margie Isaac. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mae Bordelon Billiot; a son, Carl Joseph Billiot; his mother, Libby Mae Soule Billiot; his father, Alexander E. Billiot; and brothers, Julius R. Billiot, Vincent Billiot and Ernest Billiot.
Age 78 years, he was a native of New Orleans, LA, a resident of Marrero, LA and a former resident of Abita Springs, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with visitation continuing on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
