My deepest condolences to Richie and his family on the passing of wife and mother. I knew both from being in class with them at Warren Easton class of ‘61 and on occasion saw them at Franco’s’s.
Johnnie was the ultimate mother. Her home was the gathering place for all her kids friends. When I would say "Ed where are you going, he would say to Miss Johnnies' house". That was always okay, because, first she always welcomed the kids and second because they were only 3 doors down. She was a wonderful person and very talented as well. I know the family will miss her terribly, she was the "center" of their home. I have no doubt that God has welcomed her with open arms. She was a blessing to her family.
