John "Percy" Naquin's Obituary
John “Percy” Naquin age 88, of Folsom passed away at his home Wednesday morning, March 17, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 27, 1932 in Montegut, Louisiana to Sidney Naquin and Agnes Marie Levron.
He is survived by his children Tim Naquin (Kathy) and Robert Naquin (Missy), loving sisters Leona Cheramie and Rose Dupre. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandkids, and host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Helen Nichols Naquin, his parents Sidney and Agnes Naquin, brothers Norman Naquin, Paul Naquin, Morris Naquin, Pierre Naquin, Camille Naquin, and his sisters Beulah Naquin, Cecile Naquin, Aggie Bergeron, and Lucina Boquet.
Mr. Naquin was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chene and a lifelong resident of Folsom who proudly served 3 years in United States Marines. He received the Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, and National Defense Medal. After, being honorable discharged from the Marines; Percy was an excellent carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His true passion was spending time with his family and friends, while drinking a cold one. Percy was a nice, caring person who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services in Southeast Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Road, Slidell, LA 70460.
With COVID-19, restrictions social distancing and face mask are required to attend services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of John Percy Naquin may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
