Uncle Junior will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was such a respected and God-fearing man and we will always remember the good times we had visiting him and his family. What a hero he was and we all respected him so much for his service in WWII and for the HERO that he was for earning the silver star. We will always be so appreciative of the men who served our country in such a brave and noble way. We are proud to call him our relative. We will miss him dearly.

Big brother, i've always looked up to you and loved you. you served your country proudly in the U.S. Navy and was awarded the Silver Star for your bravery. You were designated by the Navy as an American Hero. More importantly though, you are a hero to your family and love ones. I will miss our weekly telephone conversations and the times that we could get together and talk. Heavenly Father now has you in his care and i know that you have no more pain. Uncle Jr. was a very strong man. He was a fighter, as are all the Meyers boys. All the stories of his survival out on the ocean for weeks in a raft prove that. I used to love his amazing crawfish boils. I wish I could have come down to Louisiana with my Mom and Dad. Love and prayers to everyone back home.

I am very sad to hear of Mr Johnny's passing. He was friends with my Dad, Carl Bennett. I can remember as a child riding my bike to "Country Boy's Store" in Goodbee and buying gum and candy. Mr Johhny was always very nice to us. He's with my Dad now and I'm sure they're having a great conversation.
