Chris, I'm so sorry for your deep loss, and my sympathies to your entire family.
Dear Chris, we are probably one of your newest friends just meeting on a cruise about a year or two ago. How time flies. From enjoying our days sitting around the pool and talking about anything and everything -- it was relaxing and one of our treasured moments with the two of you. John seemed to be pretty healthy at the time and we had no idea of his medical situation. We remember him well and will continue to remember him as a vibrant person. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, John was one of the best of TWA, an example of what we are all about.
"Once a DCS, always a DCS". There is some special bond shared by TWA people and especially, former DCS's, that is quite amazing despite the fact that the company hasn't existed for more than 8 years and the DCS program ended more than 30 years ago. It is people like John (and Chris) who poured their hearts and souls into their jobs that created its legacy. I had the pleasure of knowing John when he was MSY station manager, and with Chris during her volunteer assignment in the F800 aftermath. Both had "TWA red" flowing in their veins. It was comforting to see their shared passion for TWA and their love and devotion to each other. I can only express my heartfelt condolences that John is no longer with us in body - though I know his spirit is still here.

I am sorry we could not make it to the memorial service in honor of John, but you were in our thoughts and prayers. I will miss his enthusiasm for life and his cheery attitude that he held on to even through all the bad times.

Chris, February was a very sad month of both of us. We both lost "THE LOVE OF LIFE". Thankfully we both have a huge family of friends and loved ones to support us, through their thoughts, prayers and generosity. I have wonderful memories of John that go back many years, as both a DCS and my supervisor. He will be missed but never forgotten.
We were so sadden to learn of Johns passing. John was a great leader, full of compassion, always had a positive attitude and with a great love of family and friends. May these few words help convey the thoughts of sympathy we have to all his family.
Chris & family I am so sorry to hear of the passing of John. I remember John well from his days of traveling through San Francisco as a DCS for TWA. John was one of those gracious individuals who make life so much more pleasant for everyone.
I hope you can find some comfort in your many special memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared.
