John Walter "Jack" Kinberger's Obituary
John Walter “Jack” Kinberger passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Covington, LA at the age of 91. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Folsom, LA for over 30 years. Jack was a graduate of Warren Eastern High School and Louisiana Tech. He retired as Construction Superintendent with Louisiana Power and Light (LPL) after 50 years of service. Jack was a lifelong New York Yankee fan and was an original season ticket holder for the New Orleans Saints.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Ethel Kinberger, his parents, John and Juanita Kinberger and his brothers, Frank James “Jimmy” Kinberger and William Jay “Billy” Kinberger.
He is survived by his son and his family: David (Pam) Kinberger; Kayla (Adam) Berrios and their daughter, Avery Marie Berrios and Jacob Kinberger; his daughter and her family: Diane Shields Blancher, Sean (Celeste) Shields and their children, Madyson and Ava; Philip (Lauren) Blancher and their children, Mark, Josephine and Luke.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 am at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 17387 New Zion Church Road, Covington, LA 70435.
