John H. Kennedy's Obituary
John H. Kennedy went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 8th 2014 at 5:05 AM. One of God’s Angels came down and took him by the hand and led him through the gates of Heaven to meet and be with his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, where there will be no more pain and suffering with lung cancer. John was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy who proudly served his country aboard the USS Lansing (Der 388), and retired from the N.O. Fire Dept after 20 years of service. John is survived by his wife, Beryl P. Kennedy; two daughters, Pam Clark (Gary) and Crystal Baker (Ronnie); 5 grandchildren,Gary, Jr., Josh and Kayla Clark, Catherine (Belle) and Sheridan Baker; 3 great-granddaughters, Chloe, Rain and Mia Clark. Also survived by 1 brother , Jimmy (Marie) Christian and 1sister-in-law, Mary Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Valeria Kennedy and 3 brothers, Arvin, Lamar and Ray Kennedy. Private services were held at E.J. Fielding Funeral with burial at Biloxi Nat’l Cemetery on Wednesday, February 12th 2014.
