John Louis Hebert, Sr.'s Obituary
John L. Hebert, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Marie Camille Barrosse Hebert; loving father to Laurie Ann Hebert Barrow, John Louis Hebert, Jr. and his wife Susan Durr Hebert, Gerald Joseph Hebert, Keith Paul Hebert and David Michael Hebert; uncle to Eva Thibodeaux; and the grandfather of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Drusilla Gauthreaux Hebert; his father, Octave J. Hebert; a brother, Charles Hebert; and two sisters, Eva Chaisson and Betty Shano.
Age 76 years, a native of Gretna, LA, he was a resident of Mandeville, LA and a former resident of St. Bernard Parish, LA. He retired as a Security Officer with Vinson Security and was formerly employed as a Police Officer with the New Orleans Police Department and as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Thursday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
