Our concern, love, and prayers are with you and your family during your hour of grief. The loss of a family member is so difficult to accept. We must realize this is a path in our lives we must all travel alone. May God bless the soul of John and may he now rest in peace in the hands of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Woodmen Member
Dear John,
We were most surprised to read about your son's death. I will try to attend the celebration of his life with you this afternoon.
And Fran, Richard and I will pray for you and Estelle for the loss of your son.
When someone says the name John Copes, a smile comes to my face. Even though I only knew him through my husband, Autie had so many funny stories to tell about him! Autie was able to go to the memorial service, but I had to stay home with the children. We will pray for strength and courage for you at this time and continue to hold all of you in our hearts forever. Sincerely, Susan Orjias

Mr. Copes, On the birthday of our oldest son we would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your son. We are sure of how proud you must have been of John and all that he accomplished in the short time he was here. If we can be of any help to you let us know. Our deepest sympathy, Vivian and Dennie
Dear Diane and JackâMy heartfelt condolences at this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Diane, I truly enjoyed knowing and caring for John over the past few years. I always enjoyed our visits in clinic. I also learned many things from his input into his care. He was an inspiration to me in many ways. He loved you and Jack very much and he expressed it through everything he did to fight so hard. I know this is so hard now but you took great care of him and handled all the obstacles with great strength. You can be very proud of both of you. If I can do anything ever for you please just contact me. with the greatest sympathy, Leigh Anne Burns Nutritionist Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center
I am a La. Tech journalism graduate, and I worked briefly with John at the Shreveport Journal. I am in prayer for Diane, John V and the rest of his family. May God comfort you at this difficult time.
Our deepest sympathy to Diane, Jack, and family. We knew John under "trying times" as he and my John underwent chemotherapy. John was always upbeat and an inspiration to others experiencing cancer treatment although our conversations were rarely about cancer and most often focused on topics in the "normal"world. We will miss him terribly.
