John Charles Behre's Obituary
John Charles Behre, a retired Electronic Technician with the U.S. Government died at home on Monday, February 6, 2006 of lung cancer. He was 57 years old. Mr. Behre was born in New Orleans, LA. He lived in Kenner for 36 years before realizing his dream of “living in the country” where he resided for the last 12 years in Covington, LA. Mr. Behre was a decorated combat Vietnam War Veteran. His cancer was attributed to his exposure to Agent Orange during the war. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 33. Mr. Behre is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mrs. Ernestine (Tina) Behre, his daughters Tiffany Gendusa and her husband Phillip and Mindi Pinson and her husband James. Beloved grandfather of Miranda and Madison Gendusa and Gabrielle Armstrong. Brother of Jean Wainwright and proud owner one “57 Chevy”. John will be sorely missed by his wife, his girls and all of his family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 10, 2006 at 10:00 am at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 West 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Interment at Pinecrest Mausoleum. Visitation on Friday from 10:00 am until service time.
