John was a great man that understood the value of family. He was a rock for Helen and his children. He lived with integrity and kindness and was always willing to lend a hand. He knew that life was about the love we share, the lives we touch and the connections we make. His spirit will live on forever and I am blessed to have known him. Rest in Peace John. You lived well.
I was so saddened to read about Mr Bankston’s passing in yesterday’s Times Picayune. I had the pleasure of meeting him after we lost our home in Katrina. He and his great team did all of our electrical work on our home in Lakeview. Since that time he became a friend. He was an excellent electrician and an endearing man who always answered the call when needed. The last visit he had his son with him and he talked about him taking over the business. He will be missed by all of clients who had the pleasure of meeting him and getting to know him. Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers.
