My Grammar School friend, rest in peace. Joanne was a sweet friend at St. Claude Heights Elementary and through our days at Chalmette High and onto Andrew Jackson High. JoAnn was one of the loveliest ladies I have ever known. She always had a kind word and a welcome smile for everyone. I first met JoAnn and Nick square dancing, and came to know them better through various activities at church. JoAnn enjoyed being with people and engaging them in interesting conversation. She and Nick were such a loving couple, who were devoted to one another and their family. It was always a pleasure to be with them. Her courage during these past few years was inspiring to all who knew her. She maintained a positive attitude and continued to encourage others as she fought valiantly. I want to express my deepest condolences to Nick and her family. JoAnn was a wonderful person who will be missed by many.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Nick and your family. I will so miss my friend JoAnn. She was a beautiful lady and always wore a beautiful smile. Her joyful laugh would light up a room. I enjoyed our time together working the KC fish fry, playing bunco with the girls and most of all helping to organize and make cookies for the St. Joseph Altar. With the love of her life Nick always at her side we attended mass together and enjoyed many times together. My deepest condolences to JoAnn's entire family. I had the pleasure of knowing JoAnn through my mother, Josie Forte, who worked with JoAnn at South Central Bell/Bell South for many years. She was an absolute joy to know. I also found we had a mutual friend, Cindy Brown Logan Theriot, who I worked with too. Cindy and JoAnn were friend since childhood. JoAnn was always beautiful. She was one of the most kind, caring & loving person. She was always there for me. She loved her family. We often spoke on the phone & she would share her love & she had for her husband Nicholas, her brothers, children, grandchildren & members of our family. She always had wonderful things to say about her life, her family & her friends. We shared so much with one another & I am going to miss her so much. I always enjoyed my visits with JoAnn & I was blessed to have her as my cousin.
WE KNEW JO ANN FROM THE BOWLING ALLEY. SHE WAS A SWEET AND WONDERFUL LADY. ALWAYS SMILING AND HAD SOMETHING NICE TO SAY. OUR SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY. I KNOW ALL WILL MISS HER SORELY.
